Lowell General Hospital, in affiliation with Floating Hospital for Children, sponsors a play area at Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, NH. On this particular project, I was tasked with using existing campaign elements to develop a design for the play area. Given the existing sea foam green gradient and photography, I decided to liven it all up with custom illustrations. I came up with the idea of wrapping the play area with a fence graphic and using finger painted hand prints for the grass. From there I developed the illustrations for the animals, insects and the sky. I worked in the existing type and sea foam green color for the items that contained messaging.

Upon introducing the new graphics to the play area at the mall, we pitched the client the idea of holding an event as an opportunity to promote the hospital and the pediatric care available to the families in the area.

Ultimately, both the play area design and the promotional flyer I designed won gold at the Lamplighter Awards (a healthcare awards program sponsored by the New England Society of Healthcare Communications), bronze at the Aster Awards and merit at SIAA (Service Industry Advertising Awards).
